We'll
start our frugal budgeting off by looking at clothes shopping. Do
we really need a new top?
Shopping
Clothes
Before
automatically going into town and purchasing
new clothes, take a look in your wardrobe and think
frugal. Throw
out anything you don’t wear anymore. Your local charity
shop will be very grateful for these. Or if you have the
time why not go to a car boot sale
and sell them - this will be a boost to your frugal
budget. You may even find clothes that you’ve
forgotten about over time.
Tesco
and Asda have a range of really good clothes which are surprisingly cheap.
If
you are cutting back or trying to be a little frugal then second
hand clothes shops are worth a look. You can
sometimes pick up new or nearly new items for a fraction
of the normal price.
Alternatively
you could perhaps swap with
relatives, friends or neighbours or ask for clothes
for birthday and Christmas presents.
If
you know anybody who is a seamstress
perhaps they could make you some item of clothing or turn
a dress you don’t like into a skirt.
